The Kolache Fest BBQ & Chili Cookoff is more of a sport than a cookoff!

Teams from all over flock to the KC Hall in Hallettsville to test their grillmaster skills against some tough competition.  The meat is hot, juicy, and the smoke is rolling.  Campsites are available and spots fill quickly!  Whether you're a seasoned veteran of the grill or just a backyard griller with a knack for the que, this is the cookoff for you!

And this year we've added a Chili Cookoff sanctioned by CASI, the Chili Appreciation Society International.  Each year, CASI sanctions nearly 400 domestic and international chili cookoffs as qualifying events for the CASI Terlingua International Chili Championship©, known as TICC.  These sanctioned events raise approximately $1,000,000 annually for the local and national charities that work with the cookoff organizers.
