Hallettsville Clultural Event Center is located on the town square across the street from the recently restored, 1897 Lavaca County Courthouse. The nostalgic atmoshpere of 1894 elegance and refinement is apparent as you enter the original 14ft. double doors. Recognized by the U.S. National Registry of Historic Places, antique furnishings, artwork, and German and Czech crystal are tastefully displayed throughout . The antique Gulbaranson Baby Grand Piano, tuned to performance standards, awaits guests. Theatrical, musical, cultural events, art exhibitions and book and author luncheons are offered weekly free of charge. The Hallettsville Cultural Events Center is the perfect location for your private parties, retreats, business functions, family gatherings,seminars,weddings,receptions,bridal showers, and bridesmaids'preparations days are some of the many functions suitable to the 2700 sq. ft. space.

Recording artist Brit Ginn, daughter of Carrie Pettit, made an appearance over the Thanksgiving Holidays to the Hallettsville Cultural Event Center. She performed with the Pettit Family from Schulenburg.

Robert McDonald & Friends from the University of Texas Butler School of Music Performed November 23rd at the Hallettsville Cultural Event Center.

Chamber Music Quartet. This was the premier performance of music composed in a concentration camp by Olivier Messiaen. This was the first time this piece of music was ever played in a performance.
